About the Role

As a facilitator, you will play a vital role in supporting our programs. You will regularly lead and direct engaging workshops on a variety of topics related to personal development, mental health, and well-being. Your primary responsibilities will be to guide discussions, encourage participation, and create a positive learning environment for our youth. You will also become a mentor for those you interact with. You may also be asked to help us run special events like trips to NFL games and participate in fun team-building activities.  

Responsibilities

  • Deliver interactive workshops based on established curriculum

  • Facilitate group discussions and activities on topics relevant to youth

  • Foster a safe and inclusive space where all young people feel comfortable participating

  • Build rapport and positive relationships with youth

  • Identify and address any challenges or concerns raised by youth

  • Collaborate with other facilitators and program staff

  • Attend training and professional development opportunities

Social Media Intern

About ENT Youth Services

ENTY Youth Services (ENTYS) is a dedicated organization working with at-risk youth. We provide a safe and supportive space for young people to develop their skills, build positive relationships, and reach their full potential.

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic, creative, energetic, self-starter to join our team as a Social Media Intern. This internship position will use video to tell compelling stories that emotionally connect our core audience of youth from 11-18 years old. Applicants should have basic knowledge of how to capture quality footage and sound and be able to edit footage and still photos from a variety of sources into a finished video piece. Your work may be used as stand-alone projects or as part of broader communication campaigns on social media, digital publications, the web, or signage.


The ideal candidate will:

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud products, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or other desktop or cloud-based video editing software.

  • Be energized by the ability to help shape our Youth’s perspectives

  • Have the ability to generate unique story ideas as well as execute ideas brought forward by others.

  • Be able to explain topics in a simple, yet interesting way to general audiences.

  • Offer creative solutions to communication challenges by capturing and producing interesting and unique video and audio end products.

  • Enjoy working with people and can put subjects at ease with being on camera or in audio recordings.

  • Stay on top of the latest trends, tools, and techniques in video, audio, and social media.

  • Let their passion and excitement for their work show through.

  • Be a self-starter and able to stay on track to meet project deadlines.

 

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

  • Ability to capture compelling content in short-form video, using mobile phones and digital cameras 

  • Ability to work in both controlled environments and on-location shoots

  • Consistent creativity and ability to collaborate with like-minded individuals

  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team

 

Candidates selected for an interview should be prepared to share examples of their creative work.

Duration: Full Time or Part-time (up to 20-hours/week) Internships Available. 

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation and Editing (50%): Plan and produce a variety of content formats promoting ENTYS, including social media updates, and short-form videos. Implement prepared strategies over long duration.

  • Content Marketing Strategy Development (25%): Based on analysis of target audience, develop content marketing strategies. Engage in the most current marketing trends like influencer marketing and collaborations to enhance brand awareness. Collaboration with other ambassadors is encouraged!

  • Performance Analysis (25%): Measure and analyze content performance to assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies. Utilize analytical tools to monitor metrics such as traffic, engagement rates, and conversion rates, and report findings.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency with image and video creation tools. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE AN EXPERT in design and video editing, but you should be able to produce effective content using accessible tools like Canva, and Adobe Express.

  • Experience managing a personal or personal brand channel (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.). A desire for channel growth is important, even for smaller channels (private or inactive accounts are not suitable).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or interest in generative AI and music.

  • Experience in content creation and editing.

  • Understanding of online trends, including memes and popular social media content.

  • Relevant experience in a similar industry.

  • Based in the Washington DC Metro area.

  • Portfolio of 3 pieces of content you’ve personally created:

  • Content should be created with a specific intent, including images and short-form videos.

  • Marketing-related content is preferred. Simple personal projects are not suitable.

  • Include objectives, production process (roles & contributions), and performance analysis.

Important Notice

  • Adobe Creative Cloud will be supplied as a part of this Internship. Also, you may use your own software or free programs and must refrain from using software subject to license restrictions.

  • This is an unpaid position.
